I'm not sure how many of you still read this. It really has been a long time since anyone has written in this journal. Being the only member left in Relax to Paris I gotta say this is such a strange view. It's interesting losing members one by one. It's stressful, lonely, painful...but I'm not giving up. I'm still here and I'm never stopping. It means so much how supportive everyone is around me. My songs are from the bottom of my heart. They're as honest as it gets. Relax to Paris is performing at the Whisky on Friday, May 12th. I can't tell you who Relax to Paris will be at that point, but I promise you it will be an amazing experience.

Hey Guys... It's been a long time since I have contributed a word on this LJ about Relax To Paris. I hope you guys haven't forgotten about them because they're really going to give out a nice comeback once their new record is out! which is now closer than ever before!...I have had the honor to hear a sneak peek at two songs and let me let you know that their new music is delightfully awesome!...They have really improved since the first time I went out to hear them at that American Music Awards Competition.
A few changes are also being taken care of in the band. Cassie has decided to step down because she wants to persue Grad School so the band is auditioning for a new member. We Wish Cassie The Best1 :0)
Matt has been keeping himself too busy with his music affairs that hes also being temporarily replaced by Jonn and perhaps a new player. The band might look a bit different in the future but the good sweet music will ALWAYS FLOW!
Ryan is really putting alot of enthusiasm and love into his new works and wants everyone to keep on supporting Relax To Paris...it's really what keeps him going. The Love of his fans feeds him with a great warm feeling that he can't even come to put into words. So don't let him down... Always support Relax To Paris, because with or without its original members they will always keep on rocking stages and winning hearts all around! Relax To Paris is LOVE.
Await their new music with excitement because believe me IT REALLY SOUNDS GOOD!!
Always,
Aracely
I leave You Guys with this...

The new record is finally being mixed! The mixer started yesterday and should be finished on Thursday. Everything should line up by the record release show in August. We've been rehearsing a lot to make the live show rock harder than ever. I'd right more, but it's 2am and I'm about to fall asleep. I also sneezed all over the keyboard.

| finally we bring the rock to you!!!! |
[05 May 2005|12:17pm] |
Hey!! We're back and ready to bring you our power pop heart felt monster rock to your delightful ears. You guys gotta come see us on May 20th at the Roxy. I'll be playing guitar the whole set. No more trying to be the cock rock star I'm not. I really want you to see us. Finally an all ages show! It's about time we're playing at a place where they don't discriminate against real music lovers who are under 21. I know Alex and Olivia were ready to start a revolt against those clubs. Hey, I'd join you. I hope you're doing well. How's everything going? check out "Dakota" the new Stereophonics song. It's a good jam. Love, Ryan

Hey everyone, We're in the middle of working on our new EP and it will be nothing less than amazing. We're working with a great producer who produced the Plain White T's and worked on the Jimmy Eat World records, Bleed American and Clarity. We finished drums and bass for all the songs this past weekend. We did them at Hard Drive Studios. That's where Bleed American was recorded and a Beck record (I forgot which one). We're not on any label right now. We're doing this hardcore indie. Which means we're financing it ourselves. Now I'm broke! But that's ok. It's all worth it. It's my best material yet. Very melodic and driving. I'm sorry it took so long. We had to make a few mistakes along the way to get it this good. It's true we are currently looking for a drummer. Luckily Brian (the drummer from Neve)was around to play on our record. He's the best studio drummer I ever met. Feel free to spread the good word that we're looking for an awesome drummer. Thanks!

This thing hasn't been touched in weeks! so I decided to drop a line about what the band has been up to...
as you guys know...relax to paris is working on their new Ep..which consists of some of the new songs you've been hearing at the shows...(Empty Charm, Funniest Thing, Make You Smile...i dont recall the rest) Their first attempt at recording failed...the songs came out badly recorded...and the management they were under wasn't being professional enough in doing their jobs. So the new EP is being re-recorded with a total new management team. They're being covered by the guy who produced the Plain White T's and Sugarcult Cd...this is pretty exciting because the new EP will sound even more awesome!
now as you guys may already know...chris has decided to step out of the band for sometime...so relax to paris is in the search of a new drummer. We're not too sure if Chris will ever rejoin the band but he sends his best wishes to everything they decide on doing.
Kevin Mcpherson is a new addition to the group...I dont know him personally yet...but from what I hear hes a pretty cool guy. He's the youngest member of the band and he comes from a very cool music background...he used to play bass in a band where the guy who played Spike in Buffy The Vampire was the lead singer.
Mmm what else?
O Relax To Paris is recording Drums this Saturday... then they will be preparing themselves to record Bass, Guitars and finally Vocals. Once they have all of this finish...the band will have their new EP out...Ryan is in the works for a very sweet! cd release party show!. He's also working on new t-shirts...if u guys have any ideas on some shirt designs let him know!...they want something that anyone would want to wear even if they have never heard of the band!
I guess this is it for now... As soon as something new comes out I'll update again :0)
In the meanwhile...please keep loving this band! don't forget about them!...they truly need their fans to back them up on everything they do...the more the fans out there supporting them...the easier we can bring them to signing a label...
So Keep the Support going! Always!

wow, that's a wild photo of Matt below. I like it. That photo is the actual size. heh heh. For his birthday I bought him the movie "Prayer Of The Roller Boys". It's a great 80s film when roller-blading was the newest cool thing. I think I still have my rollerblades somewhere. They probably don't fit because I was 11 when I got them. I played Kevin's flying-v guitar at the last show. I felt pretty rock'n'roll. I miss playing my red guitar with the mouse ears. I think it's time to bring that back. It's been way too long since I have written in the journal. I forgot how fun it was. I used to have a song of the day. I gotta keep that up. My song for today is "Disco 2000" by Pulp. I know, random huh! I put it on today for the first time in a few years. I remember it being a bit cooler, but it still took me for a ride.
always and forever! ~Ryan

[21 Jan 2005|02:19am] |
Last night was a lot of fun. I played an acoustic set with Kevin out doors on the sunset strip. Alex and Olivia were holding down the front row. We played a few new songs and some James covers. We're starting pre-production for our new CD tomorrow night. We're starting the recording over, but it'll be well worth it. Loren Israel is going to produce it. We're really excited!!

Last night was a killer show at the house of blues. the 18 and over part was lame, but there still was an incredible turnout. We played with a new drummer from the OC named Rich. He was amazing. He added to the energy of the show and did all kinds of cool stick tricks. He's also one of the nicest guys if you get the chance to meet him. Matt Roberts was tearing it up on stage as he bounced off the drum riser and into the crowd. Cassie came alive as she took control of the audience with her witty comments. Kevin was living the music as he flew through the air. I simply had a great time and poured my soul into singing the tunes. If you were there I hope you had a good time. I sure did. Hopefully I'll see you at the next show on Wednesday. Love, Ryan

It's been awhile since I've written an entry. (Ryan here by the way) I had a great time performing at the El Rey Theatre Saturday night. It was a great turnout. I love the support. You all inspire me to keep going. I know we've been promising a new record for quite some time now. We can finally see the light. We're so close. We're really happy with the way it's coming out. I finished singing the lead vocals for all the songs on Sunday. I feel really good about them. If you have any cover art ideas I'd love to hear them:) I really like the 3rd song and 5th song on the new Jimmy Eat World record.

Ryan here on tuesday 2:40pm. It's just a few minutes before I see my weekly voice coach. Someone isn't being a team player in this band right now. I won't mention names, but he's the shortest one. ...I'm venting. sorry. I shouldn't do that. I found a home for my extra Butch Walker ticket. Don't worry. Tickets are still available if anyone wants to go.
